Where is Roseway River Cottages?
At 47 Riverview Drive in Lower Ohio, Nova Scotia (B0T 1W0), on the Roseway River. It's a few minutes' drive from Shelburne's historic 18th-century waterfront, restaurants, beaches and coastal trails.
What kinds of stays are there?
Five private cottages, the Roseway Guest House and a geodesic dome. Cottages 1 to 4 sleep 6 guests in 2 bedrooms. Cottage 5 is a one-bedroom cottage for 2 and is our accessible unit. The guest house sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms, and the dome sleeps 2 to 3 in 1 bedroom.
Are you open all year?
Yes. The cottages, guest house, dome and the Scotian Spa are open in every season.
What's at the Scotian Spa?
A cedar hot tub, a sauna set among the pines, a fire table and a massage studio for relaxation, yoga and body treatments. Massage and aesthetics can also be booked in your cottage or outdoors by the river.
How does spa booking work?
The hot tub, sauna and massage are booked in 4-hour blocks by the day: morning (9 am to 1 pm), afternoon (1 to 5 pm) or evening (5 to 9 pm). Book online through the Spa tab, or call 902-875-3812.
What's included in a stay?
Every stay has a full kitchen, air conditioning, satellite TV, bed linens, towels, complimentary toiletries and a hair dryer. The cottages have a covered porch with river views, a BBQ and Adirondack chairs. The guest house and dome add a dishwasher, and the dome has a wood-burning stove and a washer and dryer.
Are pets allowed?
Yes, pets are welcome at Roseway River Cottages.
Can you host weddings, retreats or special occasions?
Yes. We plan custom packages for weddings on the river, corporate retreats, birthdays, anniversaries and other celebrations, with flowers, balloons, wine or champagne set up for your arrival. Onsite lobster boils with local fishermen and bed and breakfast programs can be added.
